In accordance with the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, financial assistance will be provided to civil servants and their families, as well as civilians who have been temporarily displaced due to armed conflicts and violent incidents in some regions and states.

This support will be funded by the National Natural Disaster Management Fund. This announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance, U Win Shein, during a coordination meeting on assistance distribution held at the meeting hall of the Disaster Management Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement in Nay Pyi Taw on February 4.

Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister emphasized that, as the Head of State, arrangements have been made to allocate necessary support from the National Natural Disaster Management Fund.

He instructed Region and State Governments to compile accurate lists of those temporarily displaced. In addition to the annual allocated funds, additional resources have been supplemented this year to address recovery efforts following natural disasters, including Typhoon Yagi.

He stressed the importance of systematic and accurate distribution of assistance, ensuring proper records of the number of affected individuals, methods of distribution, population size, amount of funds, and timing. Region and State Governments were urged to prepare in advance to ensure accurate record-keeping during the distribution process.

During the meeting, attendees discussed and proposed methods for distributing assistance from the National Natural Disaster Management Committee Fund, including the frequency, rates, procedures, and ensuring accurate and systematic record-keeping.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister coordinated the necessary measures, emphasizing the importance of fair, accurate, and timely distribution of assistance, preventing wastage, ensuring deserving recipients receive aid, and avoiding misallocation of resources.

It was also noted that temporarily displaced civil servants, their families, and civilians should report their population figures to the relevant administrative bodies in the Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions, and States to ensure accurate and precise record-keeping.
