



The 71st plenary session of Myanmar Calender Advisory Board and a meeting on opening Postgraduate Myanmar Calendar Diploma Course was held at the National Theatre (Yangon) in Dagon Township on Tuesday.
Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, officials from the Ministry, Chairman of Myanmar Calender Advisory Board Sayadaw and experts attended the meeting. At the event, Union Minister U Ko Ko said that the meeting is to discuss necessary things for opening the postgraduate Myanmar Calendar Diploma Course and to carry out drafting standard calendar and Maha Thingyan Sar as usaual.
The Diploma Course will be conducted in three semesters. The Chairman Sayadaw, the Vice Chairman Sayadaws have already admended and approved the curriculums of the subjects that will be conducted in the semesters and drafted by the Calendar Advisory Board members in 3 groups.
The curriculums May in 2023-2024 academic year and arrangments will be made to call for trainees. The Union Minister called on the experts to strive for drafting English-Rakhine standard calendar and Maha Thingan Sar. Chairman of Myanmar Calender Advisory Board Sayadaw Dr Buddanta U Pa Nyeinda delivered a speech and officials reported on holding 71st plenary session and opening diploma course. Member Sayadaws discussed general affairs.
The 71st plenary session of Myanmar Calender Advisory Board was held on 14th February and the meeting on opening Postgraduate Myanmar Calendar Diploma Course will continue on 15th and 16th February.
