



On January 5, Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Nawtang, accompanied by responsible officials, inspected the progress of the land leveling, replanting of Japanese grass on the football field inside the Shwe Kyar Pin Sports Ground which is the main sports ground of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Union Territory, which was damaged by the Mandalay earthquake. They also checked the laying of the 400-meter synthetic running track and the renovation of the rainproof and windproof sports hall.
First, the Union Minister and officials inspected the completion status of the renovation of the facilities inside the Shwe Kyar Pin Sports Ground which is the main sports ground of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Union Territory, which was damaged by the Mandalay earthquake. At the briefing hall, the responsible officials from the relevant company gave a detailed report on the ongoing work.
The Union Minister instructed the responsible officials from the relevant company, who are undertaking the synthetic running track, to ensure the quality meets the specified standards and to complete the work on time within the designated period. It was learned that the officials were also instructed to clear the bushes and carry out regular grass cutting activities to keep the sports ground green and lush, it’s reported.
