Fresher Welcoming Ceremony: Kayah State CM attended the ceremony

The Fresher Welcoming Ceremony at the Technological University (Loikaw) and Computer University (Loikaw) for the 2025-2026 academic year was held in the morning of January 6 at the Convocation Hall of Computer University (Loikaw). State Chief Minister U Sein Oo, the Commander Regional Military Operations Command, the State Chief Justice, State Government members, department officials, and the faculty members, staff, and students from the Technological University (Loikaw) and Computer University (Loikaw) attended.

First, students from the Technological University and Computer University opened the ceremony by performing the "Kayan song" with a traditional ethnic dance.

Following that, the State Chief Minister delivered the opening address at the ceremony. He expressed his hope that the fresher students would strive to become exemplary citizens on whom their state and the nation can rely.

Subsequently, the State Chief Minister presented rice, oil, and financial assistance for living cost to facilitate the living and dining needs of the students from the Technological University and Computer University. He also awarded academic excellence prizes to outstanding students. The respective representatives received the awards.

Then, the Commander Regional Military Operations Command, the State Chief Justice, and State Government members presented various awards to the students who received academic excellence prizes.

Afterwards, the Pro-Rector of Technological University (Loikaw) and the Pro-Rector of Computer University (Loikaw) delivered welcoming and greeting speeches to the new students.

Later, the State Chief Minister and officials watched the performance presentations by students from Technological University (Loikaw) and Computer University (Loikaw), presented them with cash of honor, and warmly greeted and offered words of encouragement to the faculty members, staff, and students of Technological University (Loikaw) and Computer University (Loikaw), it’s reported.
