Inspection of Road Repairing Works: Shan State CM inspected road repairing works

Shan State Chief Minister and responsible officials conducted a field inspection of the ongoing repair works on the Meiktila-Taunggyi-Kengtung-Tachileik road on January 5. These works are being implemented under the BOT system by the Mountainous Region Road Construction Company, under the supervision of the Department of Roads, Ministry of Construction, in the Kalaw District of Shan State (South).

During the field inspection, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, State Minister for Transport U Nay Win Aung, and the Chairman and responsible officials of the Kalaw District Administrative and Management Committee examined various sites. They inspected the repair work on a collapsed retaining wall due to stream erosion, the ongoing repair using Asphalt Concrete and the reconstruction work on sections where landslides occurred due to natural disasters. A responsible person explained the status of the ongoing works, and the State Chief Minister gave instructions regarding workplace safety and timely completion within the specified period.

Subsequently, the State Chief Minister and officials visited the Maw Myay Oo Park Flower Festival holding in Kalaw Township and gave necessary instructions.

The Chief Minister and official, then inspected ongoing concrete road paving work. They also visited the area in front of the Htithein Station View Point ground to assess the planting of flowers.

A responsible official from the Department of Development Affairs explained the related work. They proceeded to inspect the paving of a 12-foot-wide concrete road on the View Point access route. A responsible person explained the details of the work. The State Chief Minister supplemented instructions, urging that the work be carried out to meet specified quality standards and be completed within the designated timeframe. They then toured the construction site of the View Point for inspection.
