The Union Minister for Electricity and Energy, U Ko Ko Lwin, the Permanent Secretary, Directors-General, and responsible officials attended the meeting. During the meeting, Union Minister U Ko Ko Lwin participated in the rotational discussions, addressing the impacts of the Middle East conflicts on Myanmar's domestic fuel oil distribution, the systematic implementation of emergency response measures, the adoption of short-term and long-term measures to meet the country's energy needs, and by learning from the experience of this situation, to cooperate with international partners, including ASEAN countries and regional countries, in ensuring national energy security in the future, among other topics.

At the meeting, ASEAN Energy Ministers, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the ASEAN Centre for Energy openly and candidly exchanged views on the impacts of the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East on regional countries, strategies for ensuring energy security, current global energy markets and supply chains, and processes for real-time coordination through ASEAN-led discussion formats with dialogue partners to ensure, in particular, oil and natural gas security within the ASEAN region. It was reported that they discussed ways to safeguard regional energy security through strengthened cooperation, including these processes.
