Bilateral Ties: Union Minister meets Russia-ASEAN Business Council

Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Ko Ko Lwin accompanying the Myanmar delegation currently in Vladivostok of the Russian Federation, to attend the 11thEastern Economic Forum, met with a delegation led by Mr. Samat Satvoldinov, Executive Secretary of the Russia-ASEAN Business Council.

During the meeting on September 2 at 1:00 PM local time at a building in the Far Eastern Federal University campus, they cordially and openly exchanged views on continuing cooperation by selecting Myanmar, which occupies a strategic hub location in economic cooperation between ASEAN and Russia; enhancing technical cooperation in electricity and energy sectors between Russia and Myanmar; developing high-tech robotics and digital technology-driven operations in the industrial sector; expanding cooperation in digital-driven banking, education, and healthcare services, as well as online trade and tourism sectors; and investing in socio-economic business ventures.

Following the meeting, the Union Minister conducted an interview session with Radio Sputnik of the Russian Federation at a building on the Far Eastern Federal University campus.
