Coordination Meeting : Meeting for Phase 3 of Election in Sagaing Region held

The coordination meeting to ensure the successful implementation of the Phase 3 of 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election in two townships in Sagaing was held at the meeting hall of the Sagaing Region Government Office on January 19,. Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw attended the meeting and delivered the opening remarks.

During the meeting, Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw stated that Phase 3 of the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election will be held in the remaining two townships of Yinmarbin District: Kani Township and Salingyi Township. He emphasized that just as Phases 1 and 2 were successfully completed, all responsible officials must cooperate harmoniously and exert their maximum effort to ensure Phase 3 is also conducted successfully.

Following this, the Commander of the North-West Command, Brigadier General Kyaw Thu Ya, explained the security arrangements and coordination efforts being made to facilitate the successful holding of Phase 3 of the election.

Subsequently, a member of the Union Election Commission U Myint Thein, and regional officer-in-charge, detailed the election-related procedures necessary for the success of Phase 3.

The Chairman of the Region Election Sub-commission then presented the preliminary preparations being made in Kani and Salingyi townships. This was followed by reports from the Chairmen of the Kani and Salingyi Township Election Sub-commissions, who explained their respective township-level preparations and management plans for the upcoming Phase 3 elections.

Region government members and departmental officials also participated in the discussion, detailing how their respective ministries and departments would collaborate to ensure the successful execution of the election in the region.

The Chief Minister concluded the meeting by coordinating with relevant officials to address the needs raised during the discussions and delivering the closing remarks, it’s reported.
