Preparation for Election: Chief Minister meets election officials

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, together with regional government members, met with officials from district, township, ward, and village election sub-commissions to discuss preparations for the Phase III of Multi-Party Democracy General Election.

The meetings focused on ensuring smooth process of voting, proper set up of polling stations, preventing eligible voters from losing their voting rights, conducting voter education, and providing transportation to polling stations. The meetings were held at Yankin Township and Sanchaung Township, with participation from administrative officials, departmental representatives, and election commission members.

The Chief Minister urged close cooperation among relevant departments and election officials at all levels to ensure the successful conduct of the election and to provide a smooth and secure voting process for the public.
