






The discussion meeting to enhance English language proficiency was held at the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw on the evening of November 10.
There, Union Minister Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein stressed that to further improve the English language skills of teachers in the basic education sector, arrangements have been made to organize teaching with Native Speakers, and that 3-month, 6-month, and 9-month courses are planned to be opened. She noted that while competitions are currently being held, better programs should be considered and implemented.
The Union Minister also urged the attendees to collectively strive from all sides to further enhance English language proficiency. Following this, Deputy Minister U Nay Myo Hlaing provided supplementary discussions on necessary matters.
Afterward, officials presented and discussed teaching methods to improve English language quality, and the opening of continuous learning courses for students who did not pass Grade-12. The Union Minister then provided a response, discussed the issues, and fulfilled the necessary requirements.
