Opening Ceremony : Myanmar’s first solar-powered EV charging station

An opening ceremony of EV Charging Station was held on January 16 in Mayangone Township of Yangon Region.

The station was implemented by Sandisolar Co., Ltd and is Myanmar’s first solar-powered EV charging station. The ceremony took place at the charging station located at the corner of Kyaik Waing Pagoda Road and Shwe Yadanar Road in Ward (6) of Mayangone Township.

Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Ministers from the Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Science and Technology, regional ministers, departmental officials, and invited guests attended the event. Deputy Minister U Myo Myint and Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Zeya delivered opening speeches, followed by formal opening of the EV charging station.

Then, the Chief Minister and officials toured the site and observed solar-powered EV charging in operation.
