Commemorative Reception : India’s 78th Army Day celebration in Nay Pyi Taw

Member of the State Security and Peace Commission, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy, Air) General Kyaw Swar Lin, and his wife attended the 78th Army Day of India in Nay Pyi Taw.

They met with Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Abhay Thakur and a delegation led by Lieutenant General A.S. Pendharkar of the Indian Army. The event included flag-raising, national anthems, and a video presentation on India’s Army Day, followed by briefings on India-Myanmar defense cooperation.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss border security, anti-narcotics efforts, military cooperation, and stronger bilateral ties.
