Voluntary Works Honoured : Donations to the Social Welfare Association

A ceremony to donate rice to members of the La Pyae Wun Social Welfare Association was held on Sunday at the association’s office compound in Waingmaw Township of Kachin State. Member of the Central Advisory Body of the National Defence and Security Council Daw Dwe Bu attended the event and gave opening remarks.

Officials also praised the association for its volunteer work during local needs and natural disasters across the country. Then, the donor explained the purpose of donation, followed by presenting honorary cash awards, and handover of the donated rice bags.

During the ceremony, outstanding students who passed the 2024–2025 matriculation examination with excellence received medals, trophies, and cash prizes. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to donors who support the association.
