Inspection tour: MOI DM made inspection tour in Mandalay

Deputy Minister for Information, U Ye Tint, visited the Printing and Publishing Department’s Press Factory in Mandalay on June 9 to inspect ongoing repair works on the earthquake-damaged building and gave necessary instructions on required matters.

Following this, he proceeded to the Office of the and the Public Library in Maha Aung Myay Township. There, he inspected the damage caused by the earthquake, including collapsed brick walls and structural impacts. Since repair funding had already been approved, he instructed that tenders be called and repairs be carried out promptly in accordance with procedures.

He then visited the Mandalay Region Office of the Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD), where he met with officials and staff under the Ministry based in Mandalay. He discussed work-related matters and personnel affairs, and presented food items and cash assistance.

In the morning on May 10, the Deputy Minister visited Basic Education High School No. 18 in Mandalay, where he met with teachers and students to discuss and provide guidance on their needs.

He also met and encouraged students preparing to retake the matriculation examination. He donated books and journals for the school library, as well as sports equipment provided by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. He also inspected and supported the school’s library and teaching activities.

After that, he visited the Township General Administration Office, the Sarpay Beikman Library, and bookstores in Aungmyaythazan Township to inspect damage caused by the earthquake. He instructed officials to ensure prompt repairs and to take necessary safety precautions to prevent any hazards.

Then, he visited the IPRD District Office in Patheingyi Township, where he inspected the earthquake damage and instructed that urgent repairs be made and interim safety measures taken until full restoration is completed. He also distributed food items as gifts to the staff.
