





The Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, along with the members of Region Government members and responsible department officials, on 19th November, inspected the housing construction and the rehabilitation of displaced families from conflict area who had temporarily abandoned their homes in Kyin Dwe town of Kanpetlet Township in Chin State.
Initially, the Chief Minister and relevant officials reviewed the status of housing construction and the repairs to roads for displaced families, as well as the land allocated for construction of houses. They received detailed explanations from the Director of Magway Region Forestry Department.
Based on this, the Chief Minister provided guidance on the necessary steps to ensure that displaced families can live in suitable conditions. Furthermore, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for these families to have access to basic amenities.For displaced families, a plot of land on the southern side of Chawngpyu Village of Mal Hla Taung Village-tract, Magway Township has been designated for their housing.
The plan includes 32 plots of land, each measuring 30 feet by 40 feet, with the construction of residential houses and roads (7 roads, each 30 feet wide). A total of 32 houses, complete with latrines, will be built for these families, each costing approximately 2.139 million Kyats.
In addition, arrangements have been made for students to return to school and receive education, and for displaced persons to find their skillful work.The displaced families from the Kyin Dwe town in Chin State arrived in Magway city on September 8.
The Magway Region Government had made temporary provisions to assist these families, including distributing relief supplies such as 16 types of household goods, 8 types of kitchen items, 11 types of family goods, drinking water, and personal hygiene kits.
A total of 32 households, representing 103 individuals, received these supplies.Currently, the displaced families are being provided with housing, and their families have been allocated living spaces to ensure they can live in proper conditions.
