Meeting on Youth Affairs: CCYA VC held meeting with Region Committee

The meeting between the Vice Chairman (1) of the Central Committee on Youth Affairs and the Mandalay Region Youth Affairs Committee was held Wednesday in the meeting hall of the Mandalay Region Government Office.

The Vice Chairman (1) of the Central Committee Union Minister for Youth Affairs, Dr. Maung Thin, attended and delivered the opening speech. In his opening address, Union Minister stated that the Regions and States youth affairs committees are the ones implementing practical work on the ground, which is why this meeting was arranged.

He noted that current efforts are still at a demonstration level and need to reach a stage of practical implementation. He added that plans will be drawn up to enable practical implementation. According to the 2014 census, over 70% of young people live in rural areas, and national development will only be achieved when these rural youth are developed.

Therefore, a plan for the development of rural youth will be formulated, and he requested the members of the Regional Youth Affairs Committee to assist in drafting this plan. Subsequently, the Chairman of the Mandalay Region Youth Affairs Committee Region Chief Minister, U Myo Aung, delivered a speech.

Then, the Vice Chairman of the Region Committee Mandalay Region Minister for Shan Ethnic Affairs, U Sai Aung Kyi, gave an explanation regarding youth affairs matters. Afterward, members of the Mandalay Region Youth Affairs Committee who attended the event held general discussions. The Vice Chairman (1) of the Central Committee Union Minister Dr. Maung Thin, responded with clarifications, and the ceremony was concluded.
