Immigration and Population: Implementation of Lamin Project in Lewe

The Ministry of Immigration and Population is implementing the Lamin Project to issue National Registration Cards (NRCs) and Unique Identification (UID) numbers in accordance with the law.

On Friday, Union Minister U Myint Kyaing visited the Lewe Township Immigration Office to oversee the work processes. Under the Lamin Project, the ministry scrutinizes household list updates, issues NRCs to citizens aged 18 and above, and replaces lost or damaged NRCs. It also issues UID numbers for the e-ID system.

The Union Minister also inspected the maintenance of personal biographical files in the archive room and instructed officials to take precautions against natural disasters.
