






The opening ceremony of National-Level Seminar on the Development of Traditional Medical Training Sector was held at the University of Traditional Medicines (Mandalay) in Aungmyethazan Township.
The event was attended by Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Aye Tun, region ministers, Director General of the Department of Traditional Medicine Dr. Su Su Dwe, officials, Chairman and members of the Myanmar Traditional Medical Council, the Advisory Board on Traditional Medicines and the representatives from Myanmar Traditional Medicines Producers and Suppliers Association.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Dr. Aye Tun gave the opening remarks, followed by a words of thanks from Director General Dr. Su Su Dwe. The National-Level Seminar on the Development of Traditional Medical Training Sector will focus on discussions in four key areas essential for enhancing teaching, practical application, and collaborative efforts, it’s reported.
On the same day, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung also met with contestants of Amara Shwepyi Loom represented Mandalay Region in the upcoming non-stale robe weaving competition or the competition of weaving a robe overnight for offering to the Maravijaya Buddha Image during the Dazaungdaing Festival to be held at Maravijaya Buddha Park in Dakhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw from 13th to 15thNovember.
The Chief Minister expressed encouragement to the Mandalay Region team, emphasizing that the robe-offering ceremony is a significant act of charity. He highlighted that it combines the dedicated efforts of physical, mental, and moral strength, creating good deeds. He encouraged the team to compete with a strong sense of unity and to bring honor to the region by following the c rules and regulations of the competition.
Following this, team leaders and supervisors representing the Mandalay Region in the upcoming non-stale robe weaving competition or the competition of weaving a robe overnight for offering to the Maravijaya Buddha Image during the Dazaungdaing Festival. Region government ministers gave supplemented discussions and the Chief Minister coordinated requirements and provided 5.5 million Kyats for the team through the responsible officials.
