State Administration: C-in-C Addresses Council’s Meeting 12/2021

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing addressed the Council’s meeting 12/2021 on Monday in Nay Pyi Taw.

In his address, the Senior General stressed development, changes and challenges in over a four-month period, peace and stability he saw in Mon and Kayin states during his visit there, his instructions to concerned officials for growers to get scientific agricultural techniques, the need to change the fiscal year, increase in COVID-19 infection rates especially in northern Chin State, northern Sagaing Region and Tanintharyi Region, Stay-at-Home programme in some townships of Chin State and importance of COVID-19 prevention guidelines for schools as well.

He also highlighted efforts for reopening schools including private ones, and, also violent acts in regions and states against schools and administration offices.

The Senior General called for preparations and emergency response to natural disasters in regions and states in the rainy season. The Senior General also explained matters including his meeting with Foreign Minister of Brunei Darussalam and ASEAN Secretary-General on COVID-19 vaccination, unlawful associations ‘CRPH’ and ‘NUG’, 2020 General Election issues, holding of election when the state’s stability comes, provision of humanitarian aid and interview with Phoenix Media.

Members of the Council discussed matters including effective legal actions against corruption and those who support rioters, and, also security system for the safety of the public, edible oil sector, continuation of implementation of Hti Khi  region industrial zone, matters pertaining to holidays and fiscal year and continuation of implementation of hydropower projects.

Regarding the matters to holidays and fiscal year, the Senior General called for further discussions among the Council’s members. He also stressed efforts for law enforcement, CDM investigation and the need for staff to report if there are threats, acceleration of edible oil plants plantation, renewable energy generation, cooperation with private media, safety measures for schools and importance of the public cooperation.
