









The opening ceremony of the ASIA PACIFIC REAL ESTATE CONVENTION 2026, MYANMAR, hosted by Myanmar, was held at the Novotel Yangon Max Hotel on Pyay Road, Yangon in the morning on August 28.
At the opening ceremony, traditional Myanmar singing and dancing performances were presented. The event was officially opened with the beating of the ceremonial Mingala Drum, led by Chairperson of the Myanmar Real Estate Service Association (Central) Daw Moh Moh Aung, and responsible officials.
Representatives from Real Estate Service Associations of 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region attended the ceremony. International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) President Lily Chang delivered a welcome and congratulatory address via video clip.
Following this, Dr. Htoo Maung, Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation of the Yangon Region Government, delivered the welcoming remarks.
Speaking about the ASIA PACIFIC REAL ESTATE CONVENTION 2026, MYANMAR, Daw Moh Moh Aung, Chairperson of the Myanmar Real Estate Service Association (Central), said that the convention aims to provide real estate association members from across Myanmar with networking opportunities and messages on how international real estate associations provide real estate services.
Daw Moh Moh Aung (Chairperson), Myanmar Real Estate Service Association (Central) said "The convention will feature four panel discussions with seven speakers. Discussions will also highlight the fact that Myanmar’s real estate sector operates in accordance with laws enacted by the State. Topics will include land that cannot be sold or purchased, as well as ensuring that both buyers and sellers properly pay the required taxes when conducting real estate transactions. The convention will also provide opportunities to exchange experiences in the real estate sector between Myanmar and other countries, including ASEAN member states and countries across the Asia-Pacific region."
