Combating Online Scams: 31 suspects arrested in Muse for scam operations

With the support of neighbouring countries and international organizations, the government is striving to expose illegal foreign nationals in Myanmar who have committed online gambling and scams that are detrimental to the socio-economic well-being of people not only in the region but also from around the world.

Following the information received from local informants, the combined teams comprised of security forces searched residential areas in Kaung Mu Tone Ward, Muse Township, Shan State (North) and arrested 18 Chinese nationals and 13 Myanmar nationals along with cash, computers, desktops, star link devices, and 6 motor vehicles.  It is learnt that further investigations will be carried out, and necessary legal action will be taken against the suspects.
