Yangon Jolted: A Slight Earthquake Shook Yangon

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.1) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (13) miles southwest of Taikkyi), latitude 17.17°N, longitude 95.83°E, depth (10) kilometers, about (30) miles northwest of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (21)hr (54)min (31)sec Myanmar Standard Time on 12th November, 2019.
The quake was felt by people residing in Yangon, according to the Meteorology and Hydrology Department and the earthquake forced people living in high-rise buildings in Yangon to flee their homes, it’s learnt.

On 13th November, a slight earthquake of magnitude 4.2 Richter Scale was also recorded at 9:36 am with its epicenter at about 13 miles north of Namsang, and the depth is 10 kilometer, according to the Taunggyi Seismological Observatory.
