














The opening ceremony of the Youth Peace Forum 2026 was held in the morning of January 13 at the Myanmar International Convention Center-1 (MICC-1) in Nay Pyi Taw.
Attending the ceremony were the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security And Peace Commission, Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Central Committee, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, SSPC Vice-Chairman, Vice-Senior General Soe Win; Commission member Prime Minister U Nyo Saw, Commission Secretary and Commission members, senior military officers from the Tatmadaw; Union Ministers; Deputy Ministers; members of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Coordination Committee; diplomats; youth representatives from NCA Signatories EAOs; students; and invited guests.
First, the ceremony was opened with a ribbon-cutting by SSPC Vice-Chairman, Vice-Senior General Soe Win, and ethnic representatives. Then, the Acting President, SSPC Chairman, NSPCC Chairman, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, pressed a button to open the main entrance of the Youth Peace Forum 2026.
Afterwards, the Acting President, SSPC Chairman, NSPCC Chairman and the attending guests hung peace messages on a peace tree and took a group commemorative photo.
Following that, the Youth Peace Forum 2026 ceremony was opened with an LED animation presentation.
Next, the Acting President, SSPC Chairman, NSPCC Chairman, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, and the ceremony attendees paid respect to the State Flag.
Subsequently, the Acting President, SSPC Chairman, NSPCC Chairman, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, delivered the opening address.
After that, the Chairman of the Youth Peace Forum Leading Committee, Union Minister for Border Affairs and Ethnic Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, presented a commemorative gift to the Acting President, SSPC Chairman, NSPCC Chairman, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Following that, on behalf of youth men, Youth men Representative Maung Khant Myat Thu from the Union Territory of Nay Pyi Taw and Women's Youth Representative Ma Shun Myat Mon Kyaw from Mandalay Region delivered commemorative speeches.
The ceremony program continued with the song "Youth's Strength, Nation's Treasure," performed by singers Done Jame and May Chit Thet and presented by artistes from the Fine Arts Department under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
This was followed by a youth tribute film soundtrack song titled "Future Flower," a renewed rendition from Myanmar Radio's modern music, re-sung by singers Ye Htaik and Ei Ei Hlaing, and presented by staff from Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV).
Afterwards, artistes from the Fine Arts Department under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture performed a dance to the song "Land Beautiful with Flowers of All Colors."
Then, Acting President, SSPC Chairman, NSPCC Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, presented commemorative flower baskets to the performing troupes that had sung and performed.
Afterwards, the Acting President, SSPC Chairman, NSPCC Chairman, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, took a group commemorative photo with the attending guests.
