Inspection of Multi-purpose Port: Rakhine State CM inspected Multi-purpose port in Sittwe

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, along with State Government members and relevant officials, visited Yan Pyei Man Pyei Pagoda in Sittwe on January 13. Subsequently, guided by the National Natural Disaster Management Committee, and under the arrangement and supervision of the Rakhine State Government and the Yangon Region Government, the Chief Minister and party inspected the arrival of consumer goods to Rakhine State by ships and vessels at the Multi-purpose Port.

First, the Chief Minister and officials paid homage to Yan Pyei Man Pyei Pagoda in Kispa Ward, Sittwe. The Rakhine State Government team toured the pagoda to facilitate the offering of a full-body golden robe to the pagoda.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister and officials went to the Multi-purpose Port in Sittwe. There, the State Port Chief Officer under the Myanmar Port Authority explained the water depth conditions of the port, the status of necessary river channel dredging work, the docking of ships, and the loading/unloading of goods. The State Minister for Natural Resources supplemented with additional explanations and suggestions. In response to the reports, the State Chief Minister instructed that the tasks be implemented within the set timeframe, that plans be drawn up, and that work proceed systematically.

Continuing, following the guidance of the National Natural Disaster Management Committee and under the arrangement and supervision of the Rakhine State Government and the Yangon Region Government, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the arrival of rice, basic food commodities, and consumer goods from Yangon via the MV Aung Yadana (1) and MV Ye Htun Aung (1) ships.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials went to observe and inspect the loading and unloading of rice and basic food commodities from the MV Aung Yadana (1) and MV Ye Htun Aung (1) ships, and coordinated necessary matters with the responsible officials.
