






Under the collaboration of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Ministry of Education, organized by an office of Kachin State Advocate General, a "Training of Trainers" program to promote legal knowledge. This event, aimed at Grade-11 and Grade-12 teachers from Basic Education Department, was inaugurated on November 18 at the Aye Mya Thida Hall of Basic Education High School No. (1) in Kachin State. The Chief Minister of Kachin State, U Khet Htein Nan, attended the event and delivered an opening speech.
In his address, the Chief Minister highlighted that legal knowledge is a subject relevant to everyone and should be learned by all. He emphasized that students reaching 18 years of age, as citizens, need to be aware of their rights and responsibilities. To this end, he stressed the importance of understanding the basics of legal studies during basic education. He also urged the participating teachers to thoroughly understand the fundamental principles of legal education and to provide accurate and essential legal knowledge to their students effectively.
Following this, State Advocate General Daw Nan Hla Hla Aye elaborated on the objectives of the training, the legal knowledge topics to be taught, and the plans for implementation, including lessons to be delivered by legal officers from the Office of the Advocate General. She also outlined the training programs to be conducted across relevant districts. The Chief Minister and attendees then posed for a commemorative group photograph with the trainees.
This "Training of Trainers" program for promoting legal knowledge will be conducted from November 18 to 29, for 80 teachers of Grade-11 and Grade-12 in basic education schools. Topics include the Constitution, the Penal Code, Laws related to Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Gambling Laws, Anti-terrorism Laws, the People’s Military Service Law, and Laws related to Children's Rights.
In the afternoon, the Chief Minister also presided over the third coordination meeting with members of the State Government and various sports subcommittees at the State Government Office Hall. The meeting focused on preparations for achieving success in the 5th National Sports Festival 2024.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister urged supervisors and coaches to guide athletes with determination, fostering competitive spirit and upholding the pride of the state. State Minister for Social Affairs U Moe Min Thein, Director of the State Sports and Physical Education Department U Aung Thu, and subcommittee representatives provided updates on the progress of their respective sectors.
After the presentations, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of aiming for success in each sport and instructed subcommittees to coordinate and address any necessary requirements to achieve their goals.
