During 2022-2023 fiscal year, over 300,000 tonnes of rubbers are targeted to export and at present, nearly 300,000 tonnes have been already exported.

China is the main buyer of Myanmar rubbers and rubbers will be exported via sea route and boarder gates.

Khaing Myint, General Secretary, (MRPPA) said "We mainly export 70 percent of rubbers to China and other remaining to Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Korea, Japan and India through sea route and boarder gates officially. Currently, a ton of rubber is around 1,250 or 1,300 USD but it is around 1,700 USD in the international rubber market."

According to the General Secretary of Myanmar Rubber Planters and Grower Association (MRPPA), Myanmar mostly exports the value-added rubbers and plans are underway to export premium rubbers by providing workshops which are conducted by foreign technicians, by dispatching the local rubber producers to Thailand and Malaysia for study and by holding discussions to support modern technologies in local.

In Myanmar, rubber plants are mainly grown in Thaninthayi region, Mon and Kayin states as well as planting in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawaddy, and Shan State. By exporting rubbers to abroad annually, the state earned over 400 million USD in previous fiscal year and it is targeted to earn over 500 million USD in this year.
