Inspection of Preparations: Rakhine State CM inspected preparations for Tazaungdaing

On the morning of October 22, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, along with State Government members and relevant departmental officials, went to inspect the ongoing preparations in Sittwe to ensure the Tazaungdaing Festival can be held grandly and successfully.

First, the Rakhine State Chief Minister and officials went to observe the test driving of water tanker trucks and crane trucks purchased and supplied using the permitted state budget funds from the Rakhine State Government at the U Ottama Park in Sittwe. The State Minister for Natural Resources and responsible officials accompanied them and provided explanations.

Subsequently, the State Chief Minister and officials inspected the preparations by various working committees for holding events such as the Grand Alms Offering Ceremony, entertainment festivities along with feasts, oil lamp lighting ceremonies, and hot air balloon release ceremonies at the Attula Marazein Pyilonechanta Pagoda and Winkaba Field in Sittwe during the Tazaungdaing Festival. They also inspected the cleaning operations being carried out by Sittwe's special cleaning teams near the Kandawgyi Lake in Sett Yon Su Ward as well as the storage of rice and other relief supplies in two warehouses belonging to the Rakhine State Government in the West Model Ward of Sittwe. Necessary guidance and instructions were provided.

In the morning of October 21, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin went to the multi-purpose jetty in Sittwe. Following the guidance of the National Natural Disaster Management Committee, and under the organization and supervision of the Rakhine State Government and the Yangon Region Government, he inspected the arrival of the MV Aung Yadana Thiri (1) and MV Ye Tun Aung (3) vessels from Yangon, which were carrying rice, other basic food commodities, and consumer goods, and observed the loading and unloading operations. He also coordinated necessary measures with the responsible officials.
