Fresher welcoming: MDY CM attended fresher welcoming ceremonies

The Mandalay Region Government is addressing for the happy learning of the students who are studying in the Universities, Colleges, Institutes and basic education schools opening for 2022-2023 academic year.

The Chief Minister Wunna Kyaw Htin U Maung Ko and region ministers attended the fresher welcome ceremony held at University of Computer Studies (Mandalay) situated in Sint Kaing Township in the morning on 22nd July.

At the ceremony, the Chief Minister first delivered a speech of greeting and encouraged the students to study with exerted efforts to become the outstanding technicians.

The chief minister then viewed the performances of the students with traditional dances and provided 2.6 million Kyats for the fresher welcome ceremony and sports wares for the improvement of sports standards in the universities.

Next, the chief minister attended the fresher students welcome ceremony held at the Aung San Hall of Technological Institute (Kyaukse) in the afternoon, gave the encouragements for the students in their study and fulfilled the requirements submitted by the students.

Then, the chief minister then viewed the performances of the students with traditional dances and provided 2 million Kyats for the fresher welcome ceremony and sports wares for the improvement of sports standards in the universities.

Afterward, the chief minister and party attended the gathering dinner of dormitories including PinLong, Mandalar May, Cherry May held at the convocation hall of the Mandalar University located in Amarapura Township and the Chief Minister, region ministers, Rector of Mandalar University opened the ceremony by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

After giving words of honor, the chief minister viewed the performances of the students with traditional dances and provided 2 million Kyats for the performing groups and enjoyed the dinner together with the students.

After the ceremony, the chief minister met with the rector, pro-rector, professors (heads of departments), faculty members and staff members, gave necessary instructions and tended the obstacles submitted by the staff members, it’s reported.
