Tournament Opening: Myanmar Sepak Takraw League

The 2026 Myanmar Sepak Takraw League opened on March 14, at the Thuwanna Sepak Takraw Stadium in Yangon. Yangon Chief Minister U Soe Thein attended the opening ceremony and delivered the opening speech.

Athletes took an oath of sportsmanship, and the Chief Minister and officials warmly welcomed them, awarding prizes to support a successful tournament. The Chief Minister and party later enjoyed the first day of matches. The league will run from March 14 to April 5, featuring men’s doubles, men’s triples, and women’s triples competitions, with 10 men’s teams and 5 women’s teams participating.
