Coordination Meeting: Chin State holds meeting to combat online scams

A coordination meeting of the Chin State Committee for Combating Online Scams was held at the Chin State Government Office in Hakha on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Dr. Vung Suan Thang attended the meeting, and urged committee members to study their assigned duties and work closely with related committees to effectively combat online scams. Attendees discussed Myanmar’s laws against online scams and ongoing efforts, including public awareness campaigns, information gathering, monitoring and arrests.

They also explained common online scam methods and ways to protect bank accounts, email and social media accounts. The meeting discussed ongoing activities, challenges and proposed measures to strengthen efforts against online scams.
