Display of Parade vehicles: Depicting landmarks, traditional customs and local products

A fleet of parade vehicles which joined the Diamond Jubilee Union Day Ceremo­ny from Nay Pyi Taw Council, the regions and states are being parked at Tabaung ground in Nay Pyi Taw for public view.

The parade vehicles depict the landmarks of national races of Myanmar, lifestyles, tradition and customs and products to raise the awareness of national integration and cultural val­ues. The ethnic food fair is also displayed there and it is teemed with visitors, students and ethnic cultural troupes.

Khin Than Myint, Resident (Thapyaytan village, Nay Pyi Taw) said “The landmarks and factories in townships, regions and states are displayed. It is very honourable. I have never been to Zalon hill and I have intention to go there. I’m very satisfied.”

Myint Lwin Htwe, Resident (Nay Pyi Taw) said “The significant and unique things of the regions and states can be observed collectively here. The youths can study the lifestyle of ethic people. By viewing the tradition and customs of the ethnic nationalities and landmarks of the towns, the people can have knowledge.”

Moreover, the ethnic food fair, one-stop service place to enjoy the local food of the ethnic people across the State is another attraction for the visitors.

Myo Thiha, Kachin Traditional Food Stall said “We sell traditional Kaung Ye, food including Kachin chicken curry and traditional steam fish and Kachin herbal roots.”

The display of the decorat­ed vehicles and ethnic food fair are available between 8 am and 8 pm until 15 February.
