Rehabilitation Works in Falam:MOC DM inspected rehabilitation works

Deputy Minister for Construction Dr Thaung Naing, who is currently in Chin State to oversee rehabilitation and reconstruction works, inspected the renovation of a two-storey RC staff housing building comprising six units, a two-storey RC nursing staff housing building comprising eight units, and a two-storey RC doctors’ housing building comprising four units at Falam People’s Hospital this morning, 7th October. Officials from the respective companies reported on the progress of the works.

Next, Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Salai Khuang Cing Thang Lweil explained the plan to convert one two-storey RC staff housing building comprising six units into a temporary hospital. Deputy Director-General Dr. Kyaw Kan Kaung of the Department of Public Health under the Ministry of Health made additional presentations, after which the Deputy Minister gave necessary guidance and instructions.

The Deputy Minister and officials then inspected the one-storey RC convocation hall building at the Institute of Nursing in Falam, as well as the renovation works on the student dormitory, classroom building and principal’s office, and gave necessary guidance and instructions.

It is also reported that medicines and medical supplies for Tedim People’s Hospital and Tonzang People’s Hospital arrived in Tedim on the evening of 6 October. The 100 mA fixed-type digital X-ray machine for use at the 100-bed Tedim People’s Hospital has been installed at the designated location and preparations have been made for its operation. The medicines and medical supplies will subsequently be transported from Tedim to Tonzang for use at Tonzang People's Hospital.
