Inspection of Permanent Checkpoint : Bago Region CM inspected NyaungKha Shay checkpoint

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, accompanied by members of the Region Government members, inspected the NyaungKha Shay  (X-Ray) Permanent Checkpoint in Waw Township on the morning of September 27 to ensure the secure and smooth flow of goods.

Upon arrival at the NyaungKha Shay (X-Ray) Permanent Checkpoint, Chief Minister U MyoSwe Win met with officials and said that checkpoints had been established to ensure security, prevent illegal trade, and prevent the entry of narcotic drugs and other restricted goods.

He instructed officials to take effective action in accordance with the law. Next, the head of the Anti-Narcotics Police Unit and the official in charge of the Customs Department gave reports on the seizure of narcotic drugs and illegal goods and the status of legal action being taken against those involved.

Bago Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs Colonel NyiLan Cho and Bago Region Police Force Chief Police Colonel Tin MyoHtoo then presented their recommendations. The Chief Minister gave further necessary guidance and presented cash awards to security personnel.

He also inspected the construction of staff housing and staff facilities. Afterwards, Chief Minister inspected the operations at the NyaungKha Shay (X-Ray) Permanent Checkpoint, including the screening of travellers using the FRS system at the export and import gates, the inspection of cargo vehicles using large X-ray machines, and the inspection of small vehicles using personnel and mobile X-ray machines.
