U-19 Women’s Football Tournament : Semi-Final matches scheduled on September 28

The 2026 Region and State U-19 Women’s Football Tournament, organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Education under the Ministry of Sports Affairs, has reached the semi-final stage following four quarter-final matches held at respective venues in Yangon Region.

In the quarter-finals, Ayeyawady Region secured a 14-0 victory over the Nay Pyi Taw team. Mon State defeated Bago Region 5-0, while Kayin State overcame Kachin State 4-3 after extra time. In the final quarter-final, Shan State advanced after defeating Mandalay Region 6-5 in a penalty shootout following a closely contested match.

The semi-finals are scheduled to take place on September 28 at 3 p.m. In the first semi-final, Mon State will face Kayin State at Padetha Ground in South Okkalapa Township. The second semi-final will see Shan State take on Ayeyawady Region at Padomar Ground in Sanchaung Township.

Football enthusiasts are invited to attend the semi-final matches free of charge and support the young players as they compete for a place in the tournament final. The tournament is being held with the aim of promoting the standard of football in Myanmar, nurturing a new generation of football talent and contributing to the development of the sports sector across regions and states.
