Coordination Meeting : Efforts for peaceful and harmonious workplaces

On Saturday morning, a coordination meeting was held in Yangon to discuss matters pertaining to ensuring the regular operation of factories within Yangon Region, maintaining peaceful and harmonious workplaces, and securing the continuous availability of employment opportunities.

Union Minister for Labor U Khin Maung Soe attended the meeting and delivered remarks, highlighting the crucial role of Yangon Region in nation’s manufacturing sector. As Yangon provide job opportunities to people from across regions and states, the regular operation of factories in Yangon must be prioritized.

Underscoring the Ministry’s efforts to ensure job security for workers and maintain harmonious workplaces, the Union Minister instructed to place greater emphasis on protecting workers’ rights and entitlements, raising awareness to counter misinformation, and strengthening engagement between employers and workers to promote better employment opportunities and sustainable, healthy workplaces.

The attendees then presented sector-wise reports on diffculties encountered and current work implementations. The Union Minister coordinated necessities and made discussions on manufacturing acceleration, development of labor affairs and building a modern and developed nation through domestic efforts.
