Meeting with Trainee Officers: SSPC Vice-Chairman met with trainee officers

Vice-Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army), Vice-Senior General Soe Win, met with trainee Battalion Commanders, Company Commanders, Platoon Commanders and officer cadets at the Aung San Hall of the Army Combat Training School (Ba Htoo) in Ba Htoo Military Station on the morning of February 24th and delivered a speech.

During the meeting, the SSPC Vice-Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army), Vice-Senior General Soe Win, elaborated extensively in his address on the points including the need for all Tatmadaw members to enhance their combat skills and combat power; the requirement for continuous study and training, and implementation on the battlefield, as military tactics are systematically taught at various levels from cadet to Platoon Commander, Company Commander and Battalion Commander at military training schools to improve combat proficiency; the necessity to analyze enemy strategies and conduct counter-operations; the fact that individual combat proficiency forms the foundation for collective improvement at all levels; and the importance of strictly adhering to military discipline, as the life and safety of Tatmadaw members depend on discipline and obedience to orders, enabling them to fulfill assigned missions successfully.

He further clarified that the Tatmadaw assumed State responsibilities in accordance with the 2008 Constitution due to vote irregularities in the 2020 multi-party democracy general elections. He explained that the multi-party democracy general elections, reflecting the people's will, commenced on December 28, 2025, and have been successfully conducted in three phases as free and fair elections with dignity. He also stated that with the elections successfully concluded, the Union Government and respective Region and State governments are undertaking preparatory work for convening parliamentary sessions in the near future, it’s learnt.
