Future Front Myanmar: Youth Strategy Forum 2025 kicked off in Yangon

The Future Front Myanmar: Youth Strategy Forum 2025 commenced at Myanmar Convention Center in Yangon on 30th August.

The opening ceremony was inaugurated with the “Strength of Youth” song performance, followed by a screening of a documentary video clip titled “From youth power to continuous progress towards development goals”.

Union Minister at the Ministry (1) of the President's Office U Tin Aung San and Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn delivered opening remarks respectively.

The opening ceremony and the 1st day of the forum held in grand scale with the active participations of youths from across the nation, featuring exciting and interesting and fun quizzes, games and panel discussions with international speakers.

Sittwe University, Assistant Lecturer, Wai Mon Naing said “I’m very excited and glad to be here. We prepared a lot for this forum and the main topic I am interested in this forum is education and skills for future. I hope this forum shares us a lot of knowledge and I will contribute the knowledge gained from this forum to young people and younger generation.”

University of Mandalay, 2nd Year (Hons) Political Science, Khant Myat Thu said “To be here, I’m very proud as a youth representative of Mandalay Region. This is such a first step to enhance to international level and another level of the nation’s education system and community system. I will be sharing about the knowledges and lessons I have learnt from political science major.”

The forum aims to provide youths with fundamental knowledge of international affairs, geopolitics and national strategies, to enhance their leadership, critical thinking and communication skills, while promoting cooperation, constructive dialogue and civic engagement through interactive discussions. It serves as the platform to strengthen ability to table promising pathways for the development of Myanmar, and to establish an active youth network that can contribute to national and regional level initiatives in the future.

Mandalay Technological University, 6th Year Student, Chuu Eain Si said “In this forum, I will be discussing mostly about the tradition and cultural parts. I will also be discussing more about geological and political parts and I am very delighted to join this opportunity. I also want other young people and students to participate in this forum.”

Taninthayi Region, Grade-9, Wai Myat Zaw said “I believe that this forum is a place where young people from all over the country come together to showcase their unique traditional attires, demonstrate their talents and skills. I really hope to distribute my ideas and knowledge that I direct from this forum with my friends and classmates in my city and region as well. So, I feel really honored to be here.”

The forum was jointly organized by the Ministry of Information, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Yangon Region Government and Myanmar Narrative Think Tank. It is set to be held for three days from 30th August to 1st September.
