Coordination Meeting : Procurement and transport of construction materials discussed

Regarding construction projects to be implemented in Kachin State for the 2026–2027 fiscal year, a coordination meeting to enable the procurement and transport of construction materials from the Mandalay Region so that projects can be completed smoothly and 100% on schedule within the designated fiscal year, was held Sunday morning at the Malika Hall of the State Government Office.

During the meeting, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan urged all participants to openly discuss and coordinate efforts to ensure adequate transport and procurement of basic necessities such as cement and rebar for each project.

Afterward, attending state ministers, heads of state-level departments, members of the Chamber of Commerce, freight transport associations, hardware store operators, and construction entrepreneurs presented and discussed the number of building, road, and bridge construction projects to be carried out by respective ministries within the State, the required quantities of construction materials and the route difficulties currently encountered during transportation.

In response to these presentations, the Chief Minister facilitated discussions to form a construction material transport supervisory committee comprising representatives from various organizations, and coordinated solutions based on the submissions to ensure the required materials are successfully delivered.
