Labour Affairs : Job opportunities for workers affected by factory closure

The Ministry of Labour has arranged employment opportunities for 2,355 workers affected by the temporary closure of Teng Hui (Myanmar) Knitting Co., Ltd. in Htantabin Township, Yangon, ensuring that those wishing to continue working can maintain their employment and receive their legal entitlements.

Union Minister U Khin Maung Soe visited the factory on Saturday to address the temporary closure, which was caused by a lack of orders. During the visit, the Union Minister met with employers and workers and discussed measures to assist affected employees. He urged employers and workers to cooperate through mutual trust and understanding and to comply with existing labour laws and regulations.
