






The second day of a discussion on Pyu-era historical evidence continued at the National Museum in Yangon on Thursday.
The event was organized to support the writing of a continuous and accurate history of Myanmar. The forum was attended by over 65 participants, including Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan, senior officials, professors, researchers, and experts from various departments and universities.
Discussions focused on archaeological findings, ancient inscriptions, Pyu script and language, urban planning, water management, and cultural heritage from ancient Pyu cities like Hanlin, Beikthano, and Sri Ksetra. Experts shared their latest research, including results from excavations, comparisons of ancient bricks, and evidence of Pyu music, clothing, and royal administration.
Deputy Minister Daw Nu Mya Zan expressed gratitude to all participants and emphasized the importance of using strong evidence to compile a complete and factual record of Pyu-era history. The Department of Archaeology and the National Museum will continue research and excavations to uncover more evidence in the future.
