Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thant Zaw Lwin, together with the Chin State Minister for Natural Resources and members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, inspected the installation of a Myanma Posts and Telecommunications B2B Satellite Terminal at the Myanmar Economic Bank in Falam Township, inspected the progress of urban rehabilitation work, and met with local companies.

 

On September 14, the Deputy Minister and party went to the Myanmar Economic Bank in Falam Township and inspected the completion status of building repairs, the installation of solar power, and the installation of the Myanma Posts and Telecommunications B2B Satellite Terminal for carrying out banking operations, they also inspected repairing works for the office buildings and staff housings of the Department of Development of Border Area National Races, the partial repair completion status of No. (2) Basic Education High School, the peaceful learning of more than (400) students at No. (2) Basic Education High School and the Independence Monument and View Point, and coordinated and carried out necessary matters.

 

On September 15, they arrived at the Fire Services Department and inspected whether search and rescue equipment was ready for use, the repair of Fire Services Department office buildings and housing, the repair of the District Traditional Medicine Department office building and staff housing, Falam Township Police Station, the Township Police Force Commander's office and housing, the repair of the District Police Force Commander's office and the installation of solar power.

 

From there, the Deputy Minister and party attended a meeting and discussion with local companies and departmental officials held at the Town Hall and delivered the remarks. Continuing, State Minister U Win Zaw Oo and Engineer-in-Chief U Ko Ko Aye of the Ministry of Construction also discussed and gave instructions respectively. Then, in response to the presentations made by the responsible officials of the companies and departments that attended, the Deputy Minister and responsible officials of the relevant ministries coordinated and carried out necessary matters.

 

The repair work of (208) departmental buildings in Falam District that were partially damaged due to violent incidents, is being carried out by (121) local companies under the close supervision of members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee led by the Deputy Ministers, it’s learnt.
