Opening of Pancak Silat Competition :YGN Region CM delivered opening remarks

The opening ceremony of the 2026 Region and State Pancak Silat Competition was held Tuesday morning at the National Indoor Stadium (1) in Thuwunna, Thingangyun Township, Yangon Region, where Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu attended and delivered the opening remarks.

Then, Vice Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Deputy Minister for Sports Affairs U Nyi Nyi delivered remarks and officially opened the competition.

After that, Yangon Region Chief Minister and responsible officials cordially greeted the competing athletes, and the Chief Minister presented cash awards to the drum and bugle band and Pom Pom dance troupes.

Continuing, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu and region government members conducted a field inspection of the local development situation in Insein Township, Yangon Region, visiting MSL Industries Co., Ltd (fish and shrimp cold storage factory) in Kyo Kone West Ward, Insein Township, and Yadanar Theingi Industrial Company Limited (Yadanar Thingyi cold storage factory), and at the briefing hall, responsible officials explained the ongoing operations, the status of operations to be continued, the production process step by step, and the situation of domestic and international exports, and the Region Chief Minister gave necessary instructions, it’s reported.
