Tourism Promotion coordination meeting: MOCHT UM delivered the opening remarks

Union Minister for Culture, Hotels and Tourism U Maung Myint said Monday afternoon at the Myanmar-Vietnam tourism promotion coordination meeting held at the Jade Hall of the ministry that, in order to enable more Vietnamese tourists to visit, familiarization trips (FAM Trips) involving travel companies and media from Vietnam will be arranged and invited, and by transporting them to well-known tourist destinations in Myanmar, tourists will be able to see and personally experience the country's actual conditions firsthand such as the beauty of the destinations, safety and security, and richness of natural resources and thus be able to visit with confidence.

Likewise, Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe discussed matters concerning the mutual promotion of Myanmar-Vietnam bilateral tourism businesses, opportunities to enhance mutual cooperation between tourism entrepreneurs of the two countries, and ways to enable more Vietnamese tourists to learn about and visit Myanmar.

Similarly, Honorary Consul Ms. LE NGUYEN NGOC TRINH from the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar, who attended the meeting online, as well as responsible officials from Vietnamese travel companies and Vietnamese airlines, offered suggestions and discussed matters to promote bilateral tourism.

It was reported that the Union Minister and Deputy Minister reviewed and discussed the suggestions made by the Department of Civil Aviation Administration, the Chairman of the Myanmar Tourism Federation, representatives from hotel and tourism-related associations, responsible officials from the Myanmar-Vietnam Friendship Association, responsible officials from MAI airline, and hotel and tourism entrepreneurs according to their respective sectors.
