







Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn visited the University of Foreign Languages, Yangon on Wednesday, to observe the filming of a Myanmar–Korea joint TV drama.
The project is part of a Myanmar–Korea friendship and cultural exchange program. The Union Minister viewed the filming of a classroom scene and greeted the artists, presenting the fruit baskets. The youth drama series titled All Pass is led by well-known Korean director Shin Ki-won.
It features 13 Korean actors and 9 Myanmar actors. Filming began on February 26 in Yangon and will continue until the end of March, with additional filming planned in Korea. The series will be broadcast on Myanmar Radio and Television channels and on IHQ Channel in Korea.
In the afternoon, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn visited the upgraded Waziya Cinema. Officials from the Myanmar Architects Council and the responsible company explained the renovation progress. The Union Minister said that electricity and water systems are already completed and urged to complete the remaining work as soon as possible.
He added that the cinema should preserve its original architectural style while also being modern and attractive. Once completed, it will be able to host international exhibitions, traditional ethnic events, and art shows at a high standard. After the briefing, the Union Minister inspected the renovation work.
