








Discussion on Anti-Piracy Digital Services took place in Yangon on Thursday with the attendance of Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Minister said many forms of digital piracy is spreading among the public not only to harm the benefits of original creators but also to attack nation’s economy and investment sectors. Beyond copyright law, this kinds of destructive acts are committed to ruin country’s arts and technology system, hindering to produce qualified art creation.
For the development of nation’s economy, film and music production and broadcasting as well as software and digital content creation play the major role, while these processes depend on broadcasting rights and digital distribution.
The Deputy Minister also stressed the needs to practice technology-based piracy systems to crack down transboundary Digital Piracy and many forms of digital piracy via social media platforms. He called for collaboration of all concerned officials and stakeholders to build secure digital community through law enforcement and digital defence.
Chairman of GTL Group of Companies and officials from the Russian State-owned Positive Technologies Company discussed matters on Anti-Piracy Solutions practicing in Russia and international arena. After answering the questions raised by the attendees, the experts clarified matters on application of the Anti-Piracy Solutions. Prior to the event, the Deputy Minister inspected the upgrading process of Waziya Theatre on Bogyok Road in Kyauktada Township.
In the evening, the Deputy Minister met with the departmental officials at the construction site of Sarso Beikman Building on Bo Min Khaung Road in Mingala Taungnyunt Township and gave necessary instructions.
