











The Rakhine State Stability, Peace and Development Work Coordination Committee Chairman Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and Union Ministers together with Rakhine State Chief Minister visited Bawdu Pha IDP camp in Sittway on Wednesday and viewed around living, food and health condition of Bengalis in the camp.
The Union Ministers and the Chief Minister then arrived at Kyauk Talone IDP camp in Kyauk Phyu and the Chairman of the District Administration Body and departmental officials reported on construction of housings, arrangements for water, electricity and sewage system, construction of clinic, earthen road and box culvert, construction of village community hall and schools.
In response to the reports, the Union Minister called for completion of the tasks within the end of March and fulfilling the needs and viewed around Kyauk Talone IDP camp. On arrival at 135-megawatt Kyauk Phyu gas-fired combined cycle power plant, Director of Supreme Company reported on project implementations jointly conducted by the Power China Resource Company based in China and the nationality-owned Supreme Company, getting job opportunities for the locals in Rakhine State, plan for implementation of solar power used hybrid electric power plant project to be combined with Kyauk Phyu-CCGT Power Plant on which the Union Ministers asked about further information and viewed around the project implementation.
The Union Ministers and the State Chief Minister then proceeded to the Technical Training School for National Youths in Border Areas in Kyauk Phyu and looked into electrical, construction, mechanic and mobile reparing training courses and fulfilled the needs.
After that, the Union Ministers and the State Chief Minister attended a meeting for socio-economic development in Mann Aung and met departments, entrepreneurs and town elders. In response on the needs of social, economic, agriculture, transportation and electricity demands for the development in the township, Union Minister Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung coordinated essentials.
They then looked into local products displayed by MSME entrepreneurs and asked about the needs to be provided for socio-economic development in the region.
