Preserving Traditions: Performing Arts Competition continues its 3rd day

The contests of 25th Anniversary (Silver Jubilee) Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Central Level Competitions 2024 continued in Nay Pyi Taw on 16th October.

This year’s Silver Jubilee Competitions is organized in accord with four objectives: to uplift national prestige and integrity and to preserve the cultural heritage and national characteristics; to explore, preserve and uplift the traditional cultural heritage of performing arts of ethnic nationals and national cultural characteristics; to explore and preserve the traditional cultural heritage for the young generation and further propagate the national spirit; and to serve as a national cultural entity for State development, peace, and stability.

Yoon Wadi Bo, Contestant, Amateur Level (First Class) said "This year competition is very special for me as I am going to compete with the contestants who are more experienced and talented than me. I am also very excited for the competition. I would like to thank to relevant officials who are making exerted efforts to successfully hold 25th Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition to preserve Myanmar traditional arts and culture."

On third day of the competition, Musical Instrument Competitions including Traditional Orchestra Troupe were held at the designated places.

Hla Hla Khaing, Contestant said "Thanks to the relevant personnel, the contestants are comfortably accommodated during the training and competition. The instructors also took good care of us during our camp training. I am very grateful to officials who organize 25th Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition to safeguard Myanmar tradition and culture."

Pantra Sein Hla Myaing, Judge said "Myanmar Traditional Performing arts competition is the pride of Myanmar traditional artists. It’s great that every contestant is discipline and hard working. I would like to encourage the new generations to actively strive for preserving out traditional arts and culture."

Over 2,500 contestants from regions and states are taking part in the competition which runs held from October 14th to 20th in Nay Pyi Taw.
