Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by responsible officials, visited Kyon Ma Nge Town, Satt Yon Basic Education High School in Wakhema Township, Ayeyawady Region, on the morning of September 2.

At the school’s multi-purpose hall, he observed services being provided by staff from the Wakhema Township Immigration and Population Office under the third phase of the Pan Khin Project, assisting local residents with household population list, replacement of damaged or lost Citizenship Scrutiny Cards (CSCs), and issuance of new NRCs to eligible citizens who had not yet received them.

The Union Minister cordially greeted the local people who had come to apply for household population registration and CSCs, inquired about their difficulties, and coordinated with responsible officials to provide necessary assistance.

The Union Minister then inspected the One-Stop Service process through which staff were issuing household population lists and CSCs to local residents, as well as collecting biographic and biometric data through the e-ID system for those who had already received CSCs, enabling the issuance of Unique ID numbers.

The Union Minister provided necessary instructions to officials to ensure smooth operations. The Union Minister emphasized that the Pan Khin Project was being carried out to make it more convenient for citizens to obtain CSCs, and that the ongoing issuance of Unique ID numbers under the e-ID system would support proper identification.

He underscored the importance of citizens obtaining and holding their CSCs in preparation for the upcoming General Election to be held on December 28, during which CSCs will be required for voting. CSCs that had already been verified in accordance with the law were handed over to their rightful holders.

Under the third phase of the Pan Khin Project, field operations were carried out on September 1 and 2 in Kyon Ma Nge town and surrounding villages, during which a total of 197 CSCs were successfully verified and issued in line with proper procedures. Additionally, Unique ID numbers were provided under the e-ID system to those who had already received their CSCs.
