







Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Linn, accompanied by state government members and departmental officials, conducted a field inspection of regional development projects in Kyaukphyu Township on March 6.
The Chief Minister first paid homage to the historic Paw Daw Mu Kankaw Taw Pagoda, offering flowers, candle lights, and water and presented donations for the comprehensive renovation of the pagoda’s ordination hall.
The Chief Minister and officials visited the Kyaukphyu Initial Gas Station company. After a briefing by company officials on project operations, the Chief Minister coordinated with relevant departments to address the project's requirements.
Then, they visited the No. 32 Security Police Branch in Kyaukphyu to discuss internal water supply projects and road maintenance.
The Chief Minister, his wife, and officials presented foodstuffs provided by the Rakhine State Government to the security personnel and their families and inspected the ongoing water supply infrastructure and the progress of road upgrades within the unit.
At Rammawaddy Hall, the Chief Minister met with district and township-level departmental officials, teachers, and ward administrators and rice and basic essential foodstuffs were presented to the departmental staff.
Chief Minister U Htein Linn delivered a speech regarding the development of Kyaukphyu District and cordially greeted the attendees.
The Chief Minister and party further inspected several completed and ongoing urban projects including renovations of the Kyaukphyu Tharthana Beikman, completed repairs to the Clock Tower, maintenance work at the Township Agriculture Department office, summer sports training at the Myoma Sports Ground and Gymnasium, and the completed upgrades to the stadium’s grandstand.
On morning of March 5, the Chief Minister visited Naga Kyaung Pariyatti Sarthintaik Monastery to pay homage to the Venerable Sayadaws in Kyaukphyu and offered rice and donation items.
At the 200-bed Kyaukphyu District General Hospital, the Chief Minister and his wife observed the vaccination program for pregnant women and children under the age of one. They presented commemorative gifts to the children and the cash of honor was presented to the doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff who assisted in the vaccination campaign, it’s reported.
