Field Inspection Tour: YGN Region CM made field inspection tour

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, together with members of Region Government, conducted field inspections of development activities in Hlaingthaya, Twantay, and Shwepyitha townships on the morning of September 2.

First, the Chief Minister and officials inspected works along the Yangon–Pathein Road in Hlaingthaya Township, including the clearance of garbage and silt with machinery near Nawaday Garden Housing to improve drainage, the construction of bridges, roadside pedestrian platforms, and brick-lined drains. They also inspected the expansion of the Thaunggyar  Creek Bridge. Officials briefed on progress, and the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions.

Next, the Chief Minister and officials held a coordination meeting with departmental officials and the Zone Committee at the Twantay Livestock Zone briefing hall, where responsible officials reported on implementation. The Chief Minister provided guidance on requirements.

They then visited the Kan Gyi Kone Reservoir within the Twantay Livestock Zone to observe the storage of water and the pumping of water using solar-powered pumps into a 10,000-gallon overhead tank and a 10,000-gallon underground tank for distribution to livestock farms. They also inspected ongoing works for the construction of the Zone Management Office and a feed factory, and visited local cattle, pig, and poultry farms. The Chief Minister urged livestock entrepreneurs to expand farming activities to contribute to regional food security and to increase the cultivation of animal feed crops.

Finally, the Chief Minister and officials proceeded to Shwepyitha Township, where they inspected road shoulder levelling works near Kanthaya bus stop between Danyin Kone  junction and Hlaw Kar junction along No. 4 Road, as well as road widening works in front of the Computer University, which involved relocation of power lines and the construction of brick-lined drains. Officials explained the progress, and the Chief Minister issued necessary instructions.
